help with an old book?
i apologize that i have little to no knowledge about old books, other then that which it takes to read them. i am writing this because i bought an old copy of Alice in Wonderland a while ago and would like some info on possible value (deciding if i should put it away somewhere or give to daughter). it is copyright dated 1923 by J.H. SEARS & COMPANY, Inc.
printed and bound at the KINGSPORT PRESS. any info would be greatly appreciated.
The first edition of Alice was published in 1865 or 66 and is now worth up to 30,000 dollars. Unfortunately that’s not what you have. What you have is a copy of one of the great fantasy books of all time. It’s funny. It probably has wonderful illustrations (if it reprinted the Tenniel illustrations, anyway) and you and your daughter will enjoy reading it together. I wish it would make you rich, but I’m quite sure it won’t.
